Polyester Round Slings
 |
Our Slings are made from polyester with a 7:1 safety factor.
Web slings can have
many advantages over the conventional type of lifting sling.
The softness of the fabric reduces the risk
of damage to goods being lifted and to operatives as well as making the slings lighter and easier to handle.
The yarn has some elasticity which provides extra protection against shock loading.
As our slings are made
to order they can be tailored to suit any customers particular requirements.

- Know the weight being lifted and allow for the weight of any gear being used.
- ALWAYS select slings of adequate strength and length.
- ALWAYS examine slings before use for external chafe or damage, cuts or
broken stitching prior to use. NEVER use a damaged sling.
- When lifting a long load requiring two slings, a spreader beam should always be used
with the slings as near vertical as possible, with the load balanced.
- ALWAYS position the sling correctly on the load - avoid placing round
sharp edges or sliding over corners.
- DO NOT drag load in sling.
- AVOID shock or snatch loading.
- DO NOT use on sharp or rough edged articles unless adequately
protected.
- DO NOT leave with load suspended.
- DO NOT leave on the ground - could be damaged by vehicles running over
them or article being dragged across them.
- DO NOT expose to heat - heat causes the fabric to become brittle or
even melt.
- DO NOT cross or twist webbing slings when under load.
- NEVER shorten slings by knotting - there is danger of the knot slipping
and reduces Safe Working Load (SWL) considerably.
